How does the Pledge system work?

Clients may pledge either the full or partial quantity of approved securities. The pledge request is validated against approved instruments and available holdings before being sent to the CDSL system.

Once the request is received, CDSL sends an authentication link to the client’s registered mobile number and email ID.

Upon confirmation by the client and acceptance by CDSL, an email and SMS notification is sent to the client’s registered mobile number and email ID.
