What is PIS Account?

A Portfolio Investment Scheme (PIS) account is an RBI-approved facility that allows NRIs to buy and sell shares listed on Indian stock exchanges. Investments can be made through funds from both NRE (repatriable) and NRO (non-repatriable) bank accounts.
