What is the role & responsibility of the Client in placing GTT orders?

As a client, your responsibilities in placing and managing GTT (Good Till Triggered) orders include:

  • Setting up the GTT order by specifying:
    • Trigger price
    • Order type (Buy/Sell)
    • Limit or market price
  • Ensuring sufficient funds or holdings are available in your account at the time of order execution.
  • Authorizing TPIN for sell orders (unless you have submitted DDPI/POA).
  • Monitoring order status & expiry
  • Modifying or cancelling if market conditions change

📌 Note: GTT orders are not “set and forget.” Regular review is essential to avoid missed opportunities or failed executions.
