Why do margins get blocked in my account?

Margins are blocked at the time of order placement, including pending orders.

• Block = Margin + Statutory charges
• Applicable on both Buy & Sell trades (except Delivery Sell, where shares are already free in Demat)
• Once the trade settles, blocked amounts are released/adjusted
