To close your demat or trading account with Share India Securities Ltd., follow the steps outlined below for a smooth and hassle-free process:
Steps to close Share India’s Account Online
1. Visit the link
2.The client has to login details with his Trading Code or PAN and Date of Birth (DOB) to login his account.
3. Enter the OTP sent on Mobile and Email
4. Mention the reason of closure.
5. Tick the account you want to close
- Trading
- Demat
- Both
5. Upload Client Master, wherein you want to transfer your existing holding of your demat account
6. A PDF will be generated to verify the details.
7. Submit your request.
8. Once our official verifies your account details, a link for e-signing the documents will be sent to you with Aadhaar validation on your registered email ID.
9. E-sign your request with the link you received on your email and authenticate with Aadhaar Number.
10 Submit your request.
11. Subject to fulfilment of applicable conditions detailed herein after, request for account closure shall be processed within 4 working days and confirmation regarding status of clients’ request shall be sent to clients’ registered email address.

Important Notes: –
The client has to ensure before submitting closure request that
1. No debit balance in his trading or demat account.
2. If there is any securities lying in his demat account, he should sell it / transfer it before sending closure request.
3. If there is any charges pending, the client has to clear it before giving closure request.
4. Any outstanding position must be squared off.
5. A client may request to close only their trading account. However, closing a linked demat account alone is not allowed unless a request to link a new demat account is submitted
6. A closed demat or trading account cannot be revived. To resume trading, the client must submit a new account opening request and will be assigned a new account number.
