Delivery Position refers to trades where you take or give actual ownership of shares, rather than squaring off the position on the same day.
In Delivery Trades:
- If you buy shares, they are credited to your demat account on the settlement day (usually T+1, where T is the trade date).
- If you sell shares, they are debited from your demat account and transferred to the buyer.
Example:
If you buy 100 shares of a company and hold them after market hours, the trade is considered a delivery trade.
