The “Daily Price Range” error occurs when you try to place a buy or sell order beyond the permissible price range set by the exchange for that day.
Every trading day, exchanges like NSE, BSE, or MCX set daily price limits (Upper Circuit and Lower Circuit Limits) to control excessive volatility. If your order price is outside this allowed range, the system will reject it with a Daily Price Range error.
Example:
- If the circuit limit for a stock is ₹100–₹110, and you place a buy order at ₹95 or a sell order at ₹115, you’ll get this error.
What to do:
- Check the day’s price range or circuit limit on your trading platform.
- Place the order within the allowed range.
